2025 Audi Q5 Sport Utility Vehicle Revealed Exhibiting Major Updates
The automotive industry is abuzz with excitement as Audi has officially unveiled the pricing and specifications for its highly anticipated 2025 Q5 range. Set for delivery beginning in April 2025, the latest iteration of the Q5 boasts a sleek new design, enhanced versatility, upgraded infotainment, and a contemporary control system.
Starting at £49,950 on the road, the Audi Q5 TFSI petrol model leads the charge, followed by the diesel (TDI) variant priced at £51,600 on the road. The Audi Q5 Sportback e-hybrid quattro and the Q5 SUV e-hybrid quattro start at £59,240 and £56,740 (OTR), respectively. The Audi SQ5, the top-specification model, starts from £74,400 on the road.
The Q5 range offers four trim levels: Sport, S Line, Edition 1, and the plug-in hybrid powertrains, which will be launched in the second half of 2025, offering over 50 miles (80-100 km) of pure-electric range. All models come with quattro all-wheel drive as standard.
The Sport trim, priced from £49,950, includes 3-zone climate control, heated front seats, ambient lighting, OLED touchscreen MMI with virtual cockpit, USB-C, wireless charging, and DAB radio. The S Line starts from £52,550, while the Edition 1 starts at £56,750.
Optional extras include an adaptive air suspension and panoramic sunroof, each available for around £2,000. The Sound and Vision Pack, which adds a head-up display and Bang & Olufsen stereo, can be added for a little over £2,000. Notably, Q5 Sportback versions cost £2,500 more than the equivalent regular SUV models.
The top-spec SQ5 features a twin-turbo V6 with mild-hybrid tech and is available only in the Edition 1 specification. All non-plug-in Q5s feature a mild-hybrid (MHEV) system with a 1.7kWh battery.
The centre console houses a 15-watt cooled charging tray, along with four USB ports scattered throughout the cabin, the most powerful of which can charge larger devices like laptops. The interior also offers an optional three-screen layout running Audi's latest MMI infotainment system, referred to as the 'Digital Stage'.
The Audi Q5 will debut on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), featuring efficient and partially electrified combustion engines. The range of alloy wheels varies from 17 to 21 inches in diameter, with options for aero-optimised and forged designs for S models.
The base engine for the 2025 Audi Q5 is a 2.0-litre TFSI, delivering 201bhp and 340Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre TDI engine, available for the Q5, produces 201bhp and up to 400Nm of torque at low revs.
In addition to these updates, Audi Exclusive offers additional custom paint finishes for the Q5, including exclusive pearlescent-effect shades for S line and SQ5 variants. The updated two-dimensional four-ring logo is prominently placed in the centre of the boot lid.
The Q5 has outsold all other models in the brand's lineup, including the A1 Sportback and the A8 Saloon. The US accounts for 44% of global Q5 sales, with Europe following closely behind at 35%. The Q5 TFSIe plug-in hybrid will be available in mid-2025, offering more than 50 miles of electric range.
