Cockwells is giving a kick to the launch of its hotly anticipated Duchy 45 gentleman's cruiser with two significant boosts.

To speed things up, Cockwells sold a majority stake in its boatbuilding biz to the nearby Falmouth-based Pendennis superyacht yard. Additionally, the company managed to secure £1.88 million from the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Good Growth initiative.

The Duchy 45 comes in a variety of galley layouts, along with a fully enclosed main deck saloon.

The partnership with Pendennis makes strategic sense for Cockwells, given its existing reputation for building bespoke superyacht tenders. Plus, it gains access to Pendennis's superior facilities, resources, and funding, aiding the development of its product line, including the Duchy 45.
