New Nissan Micra Electric Supermini Unveiled with Competitive Pricing

Nissan has revealed its latest offering, the 2025 Micra electric, a fully electric supermini that promises to deliver an impressive range and competitive pricing. The new model comes in three trim levels, each offering a unique set of features to cater to various needs.

Starting at an attractive price of £21,495 after the UK Government's Electric Car Grant, the entry-level Engage trim comes equipped with a 40kWh battery, offering an official range of up to 198 miles. Standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google Maps and voice control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a heat pump for improved winter efficiency.

The Advanced trim, priced from £24,995 for the 40kWh battery version and £26,995 for the 52kWh battery variant, builds upon the Engage with additional features such as adaptive cruise control, a larger digital driver display, 48-way ambient interior lighting, and other premium equipment that set it apart from rivals like the Renault 5. The 52kWh battery option extends the range to a impressive 260 miles.

The top-spec Evolve model, starting around £29,865 with the larger 52kWh battery, is expected to feature the most advanced equipment, although specific details have not been fully disclosed.

All trims qualify for the UK Government's Electric Car Grant of £1,500, effectively reducing the purchase price accordingly. Sales will open from 1 September 2025, with deliveries expected from September 2025 onwards.

James Taylor, managing director of Nissan GB, expressed his excitement about the new Micra, stating, "I'm looking forward to seeing many new Micras on the road soon." The new Nissan Micra is the first of four new fully electric models to arrive on the Nissan lineup.

The new Nissan Micra can recharge at speeds of up to 100kW, allowing for a 15 to 80 percent top-up to take just 30 minutes. With its competitive pricing, impressive range, and rapid charging capabilities, the new Nissan Micra is poised to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market.
