AI is set to eliminate certain jobs, according to an industry insider.

In the rapidly evolving world of technology, the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on society is a topic of much debate. Two prominent figures in Russia, State Duma Deputy Anatoly Vasserman and Kirill Malofeyev, General Director of LLC "Rus.Cifra," have shared their perspectives on this matter.

Anatoly Vasserman, a prominent Russian politician, has expressed concerns about the use of AI technologies. He believes that AI technologies negatively impact language and overall human intelligence. According to Vasserman, "thinking is a very pleasant activity," and he fears that the widespread use of AI could diminish this fundamental human ability.

On the other hand, Kirill Malofeyev, the head of LLC "Rus.Cifra," sees AI as a potential game-changer for certain professions. Malofeyev predicts that within the next 5-10 years, AI could potentially replace roles that involve routine and repetitive tasks. These typically include jobs in data entry and processing, basic customer service, simple administrative tasks, certain manufacturing and assembly line jobs, and routine analytical work.

Malofeyev's outlook mirrors the broader industry consensus that AI will most impact jobs involving repetitive, predictable tasks, while roles requiring creativity, complex decision-making, and emotional intelligence will be less affected. Interestingly, Malofeyev has also predicted that professions such as copywriting, art, design, and low-skilled programming could be replaced by AI in the near future.

Vasserman, however, has urged Russians to be cautious about the use of AI technologies, echoing his concerns about its potential impact on human intelligence and language. Despite his reservations, he does not use neural networks personally.

As the world continues to embrace AI, these perspectives serve as a reminder of the need for careful consideration and balanced approach in its implementation. The future of work and human intelligence hang in the balance, making it crucial for society to engage in thoughtful discussions about the role of AI in our lives.

  1. Artificial intelligence (AI) could potentially play a significant role in transforming certain professions, such as copywriting, art, design, and low-skilled programming, as predicted by Kirill Malofeyev.
  2. On the contrary, State Duma Deputy Anatoly Vasserman expresses concerns about the use of AI technologies, believing they could negatively impact human intelligence and language.
