In the picturesque region of Kamchatka Krai, telecommunications giant MTS has introduced a groundbreaking digital platform designed to monitor and analyze air and water quality. The system, named the "System for Proactive Management of Environmental Risks," is a testament to MTS's commitment to environmental sustainability and technological innovation.

The platform, currently undergoing registration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade's AI Solutions Registry, harnesses the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to process data collected from environmental sensors. This real-time assessment and early warning system aim to detect pollution and environmental hazards, providing authorities and stakeholders with actionable insights for timely decision-making and risk management.

The system's capabilities include automated data processing and anomaly detection to identify deviations from normal environmental parameters, predictive analytics to forecast pollution trends and potential ecological impacts, and the integration of multiple data sources to enhance accuracy and comprehensive monitoring. Furthermore, it uses combinations of the most advanced forecasting models in the scientific community to build meteorological models and maps of pollutant concentrations.

The service is specifically designed for Kamchatka Krai, with Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky as its initial focus. It employs analytical buoys for water monitoring that determine the concentration of oxygen, pH, salts, turbidity, oil product control, ammonium ion activity, and water level. Additionally, compact air monitoring posts measure concentrations of gases, particles, temperature, pressure, relative humidity, wind speed, and direction.

MTS Kamchatka Krai Director, Yevgeniya Salnikova, commented on the region's priority to protect its natural heritage and support eco-initiatives from business representatives. The service's implementation is expected to further strengthen Kamchatka Krai's position in implementing environmentally friendly technologies.

The system also predicts negative environmental impact from specific pollution sources 48 hours in advance, enabling continuous monitoring of the environmental situation, prevention and investigation of environmental violations, and minimization of financial and environmental risks.

While specific details about MTS’s system and its AI applications in Kamchatka Krai were not found, it aligns with the typical functions of AI-driven environmental monitoring systems. For more precise or updated information, consulting official MTS publications or environmental monitoring agencies in Kamchatka Krai is recommended.

The System for Proactive Management of Environmental Risks, implemented by MTS in Kamchatka Krai, is utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze air and water quality data, falling under the realm of environmental science. This advanced digital platform also integrates technology such as analytical buoys and compact air monitoring posts to provide real-time assessments and early warnings of potential environmental hazards.
