AIG Names Scott Hallworth as New Chief Digital Officer
AIG has appointed Scott Hallworth as its new Chief Digital Officer, effective September 1, 2025. Hallworth will succeed Claude Wade, who is stepping down due to health concerns. He will report directly to AIG Chairman and CEO Peter Zaffino from January 1, 2026.
Hallworth joins AIG from Hewlett Packard, bringing a wealth of experience in technology and financial services. He has previously served as Chief Data Officer at both HP and Capital One, and has a background in insurance and risk management, having worked as Senior Vice-President and Chief Actuary at Travelers. In his new role, Hallworth will be tasked with steering AIG's digital, data, and generative AI strategy, with a focus on scaling generative AI throughout the organisation. He will initially report to Claude Wade until Wade steps down at the end of the year. AIG Chairman and CEO Peter Zaffino praised Hallworth's extensive experience and expertise in digital and data strategies, and thanked Claude Wade for his contributions to AIG.
Scott Hallworth will take up his new role as AIG's Chief Digital Officer on September 1, 2025, operating out of New York and reporting directly to Peter Zaffino from January 1, 2026. His appointment is expected to strengthen AIG's digital and data capabilities, particularly in the area of generative AI.
