AJAX platform receives additional 42 gears from RENK, distributed in Latvia
The RENK Group AG, a prominent German manufacturer based in Augsburg, has announced that it will begin delivering the HSWL-256B transmissions to Latvia in 2026. This move marks an expansion of the company's customer base for the AJAX transmission, which also includes another international partner.
The total order for HSWL-256B transmissions from Latvia now stands at 84 units, with an additional 42 units delivered for the AJAX armored fighting vehicle. The HSWL-256B transmission is primarily used in the 35 to 45-ton weight class and provides 800 kW (1100 PS).
RENK Group AG's product portfolio includes transmissions, vehicle drives, powerpacks, hybrid drives, suspension systems, plain bearings, clutches, and test systems. The company serves markets for military vehicles, marine, civilian shipping, and industrial applications with a focus on energy applications.
