Almost Zombie-Free: Running a Warehouse in the Quarantine Zone Simulation Game
Quarantine Zone, the highly anticipated zombie simulation game from Brigada Games, is set to release in November 2025. The game, which already has over a million wishlists on Steam, is published by Devolver Digital and offers a unique blend of base management and moral decision-making during a zombie apocalypse.
The game's demo, released in May 2025, has received positive feedback from players and critics alike. The demo allows players to manage a quarantine checkpoint, inspect survivors for infection signs, make decisions about their fate, and fortify the base against zombie hordes.
Brigada Games is working hard to enhance the full version of the game, with new features such as advanced devices for detecting infection symptoms. The team is also planning to release a new demo during Steam Next Fest in October 2025, offering players an additional preview before the game's launch.
The original idea for Quarantine Zone was born after the team at Brigada Games considered making a warehouse management game, but they eventually decided to ditch the concept due to player feedback on the supply cart. Instead, they were inspired to create a zombie simulation game, drawing inspiration from The Walking Dead universe.
It's worth noting that another game with a similar name, Quarantine Zone: Final Checkpoint, appears on the PlayStation Store. However, this game is published by a different company and seems to be a distinct game with a related theme, not to be confused with Brigada Games' Quarantine Zone: The Last Check.
Stas Staryk, the co-founder of Brigada Games, has previously worked with Epic Games. Staryk and his team initially considered making the warehouse management game, but they eventually decided against it due to the number of similar games already in development. Instead, they focused on creating Quarantine Zone, which has gained significant popularity within the gaming community.
One issue players have with the Quarantine Zone demo is the wonky supply cart, but the team at Brigada Games is working hard to address this issue in the full version of the game. With the official launch date set for November 2025, players won't have to wait much longer to get their hands on the full version of Quarantine Zone: The Last Check.
