Amazon Unveils New Echo Devices with Enhanced AI and Proactive Event Detection
Amazon has unveiled a range of new Echo devices, set to launch later this year. The devices, which include the Echo Studio, Echo Show 8, Echo Show 11, and Echo Dot Max, boast enhanced AI capabilities and advanced sensors.
The new Echo speakers utilise Amazon's in-house AZ3 chips and Omnisense sensor platform, enabling them to proactively respond to events in your home. This could mean detecting a specific person's presence or an unlocked news, adding a layer of smart home security.
The Echo Studio, priced at $219.99, will be the first to launch on October 29. It will be followed by the Echo Show 8, also $219.99, on November 12. The Echo Show 11, another high-end model, will also launch on November 12, priced at $219.99. For those looking for a more affordable option, the Echo Dot Max will be available on October 29 for $99.99.
Amazon first revealed an AI-powered version of Alexa earlier this year, and these new Echo devices showcase the progress made in this area. The devices were showcased at an event in New York City, with Amazon releasing them during their Devices & Services Event on September 30, 2025.
Amazon's new Echo devices, set to launch in late October and November, offer enhanced AI capabilities and proactive event detection. With a range of prices and models, there's an Echo for every smart home news.
