American Express Unveils Centurion Lounge Access Requirements
American Express has announced the access requirements for its Centurion Lounges. Cardholders can enter these luxurious airport spaces with the right American Express card and some simple identification.
Access to Centurion Lounges is granted to holders of six specific American Express cards. These include the American Express Platinum Card®, The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card, Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card, Centurion Card, and American Express Corporate Platinum Card. To gain entry, cardholders must present their eligible card, a government-issued ID, and a same-day boarding pass.
The Centurion Card offers unrestricted access to the Centurion Lounge, allowing cardholders to bring up to two guests at no additional cost. These lounges are part of the broader American Express Global Lounge Collection, which spans over 1,400 lounges worldwide. There are more than two dozen Centurion Lounges globally, with more locations planned. The American Express app facilitates contactless entry through a generated QR code.
Centurion Lounges provide amenities such as craft cocktails, chef-prepared meals, and relaxation areas. During peak hours, some lounges may implement a waitlist, with notifications sent via the AmEx app.
American Express Platinum and Centurion credit cardholders can enjoy access to current and future Centurion Lounges, often with guest privileges. These lounges, available only to select cardholders, offer luxurious spaces to relax and enjoy amenities in U.S. airports.
