Apple TV+ Now Supports Family Sharing, Expanding to Samsung TVs This Spring

Apple has revealed updates to its video streaming service. Subscribers can now share Apple TV+ through Family Sharing, with a launch planned for this fall. The service will also expand its reach, coming to Samsung smart TVs this spring and other platforms later this year.

Apple TV+ subscribers can now enjoy their content with family or friends, thanks to the new Family Sharing feature. This allows up to six family members to share one subscription at no extra cost.

The service will launch later this fall, with AirPlay 2 support enabling direct playback from iPhone or iPad to compatible smart TVs. This feature will roll out later this year.

Apple is also expanding the Apple TV app's availability. Starting this spring, Samsung smart TV users will gain access. In the future, the app will come to Amazon Fire TV, LG, Roku, Sony, and VIZIO platforms.

Pricing and release details for the Apple TV video subscription service will be announced in late autumn through official channels.

The Apple TV app will reach over 100 countries this May on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. Mac users will join the party this fall. With Family Sharing and expanded device support, Apple TV+ becomes more accessible than ever.
