E-viso: A Tech-driven Energy Company Expands its Horizons
E-viso, a tech-focused energy company based in Cuneo, Italy, concluded the fiscal year 2024-2025 with a significant milestone - a 41% increase in revenues, amounting to €315.4 million. This growth was evident across all segments of the company, which includes retail customers in Cuneo and businesses spanning from Piedmont to Liguria.
The majority of E-viso's resources are dedicated to developing services for its clients, mirroring the approach of a classic tech company. At the heart of its operations is an automated energy and gas trading system, designed to buy energy and gas at high frequency on the markets. This technology, based on algorithmic intelligence systems and E-viso's own artificial intelligence infrastructure, has automated the energy value chain, setting the company apart from traditional energy players.
E-viso's current leader, Gianfranco Sorasio, explains that their technology is the key to their success. "We've automated the energy value chain and developed a business model different from traditional energy players," he said.
The company's profit formula is based on platforms and process automation. This strategy has proven effective, as evidenced by the preliminary gross margin for E-viso, which stands between €19 and €19.8 million, while the net financial position remains positive at €9.2 million. The direct channel expansion led to an increase in supply points, reaching 32,000, up 30% year-on-year, with electricity and gas volumes up 38%. The reseller channel saw a 9% decrease in total supply points.
As a publicly traded company listed in Milan since 2020, E-viso is committed to continuous growth. The company plans to invest €12 million in its headquarters to support this expansion. In line with this commitment, E-viso is eyeing potential growth outside its current reference area. Spain and Portugal are the Iberian countries typically considered when referring to expansion from Italy into the Iberian Peninsula, and E-viso has identified these countries as potential targets for its expansion.
E-viso currently serves around 100 competitor operators, demonstrating its strong position in the market. The company's effective monitoring system guarantees a seamless experience for its B2C clients, ensuring that they receive the best possible service.
In a rapidly evolving energy market, E-viso is at the forefront, leveraging technology to deliver efficient and innovative solutions to its clients. With its sights set on expansion, the future looks bright for this tech-driven energy company.
