Authorities in Bad Salzuflen Crack Down on Black Work, Illegal Employment

Authorities in Bad Salzuflen conducted a joint control action on Thursday, September 24, 2025. The Financial Control Black Work (FKS) of the Main Customs Office Bielefeld led the operation, focusing on combating black work, illegal employment, and ensuring tax justice and occupational safety.

During the inspections, 32 employees were encountered and questioned about their employment relationships. Officials also checked for compliance with fire safety regulations. The Ordnance Department found minor violations, including incorrect displays, deficiencies in fire protection, and blocked escape routes. Notably, 11 persons in the mandatory ID-carrying sector were found without any ID documents. Despite these findings, no obvious violations or significant immigration law violations were detected during the initial checks.

In a separate incident, a 27-year-old driver was found and charged in the city center for driving without a valid driver's license.

The security authorities have pledged to continue working closely together to combat black work, illegal employment, and enforce legal regulations. The district chimney sweeper masters and their assistants, who operate under government supervision, will continue to perform legally mandated inspections and controls related to fire safety and chimney sweeping. They will also refer possible violations to the responsible chamber of craftsmen.
