BLG AutoTerminal Bremerhaven Partners with Shanghai for Europe Vehicle Exports

BLG AutoTerminal Bremerhaven has partnered with Haitong ro-ro terminal in Shanghai for vehicle exports to Europe. This collaboration comes as BLG's Automobile division achieved a significant increase in sales and handled a substantial number of vehicles in the last financial year. Bremerhaven remains an open port for all shipping companies and automotive manufacturers.

BLG's Automobile division transported and processed 5 million vehicles in the financial year, with sales surging by 933.6% to €641.9m ($687.2m). This growth was driven by higher transport and storage revenues. The terminal also increased high and heavy cargo through Bremerhaven by 0.2 million metric tons to 1.3 million.

The partnership with Haitong ro-ro terminal in Shanghai is expected to further boost these figures. It could streamline the export process for automotive manufacturers, supporting their global supply chains. BLG AutoTerminal Bremerhaven, known for serving international manufacturers like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen, is well-positioned to facilitate this collaboration.

BLG AutoTerminal Bremerhaven's positive result in 2023, driven by restructuring and new contracts, reflects its strategic importance in the European automotive industry. With overall group sales increasing by 8.1% to €1.21 billion, the partnership with Haitong ro-ro terminal in Shanghai promises to strengthen BLG's position in the global vehicle export market.
