Women-Powered Partnership Introduces New Bolt-Branded Citroën Fleet in Cape Town

A groundbreaking initiative is reshaping South Africa's e-hailing landscape in Cape Town, as a women-led partnership between Daisy Kisten, Country Manager at Auto24, and Elize Faivelowitz, Director of Pro Driver Placements, launches a new Bolt-branded Citroën fleet. This move is aimed at expanding mobility and empowering local drivers, particularly women, in the ride-hailing sector.

The fleet, initially consisting of 21 Citroën vehicles, is designed to meet the rising demand for reliable vehicles in Cape Town. Auto24, under Daisy Kisten's leadership, is responsible for sourcing, reconditioning, and servicing the Bolt-branded Citroën fleet, ensuring they are road-ready and offer fleet support to lower barriers for drivers. Pro Driver Placements, managed by Elize Faivelowitz, manages and deploys the Bolt-branded fleet.

This initiative contributes significantly to expanding mobility and empowering local drivers. By offering high-quality, branded vehicles, the program supports driver income and improves ride options for customers. The program also promotes economic opportunity by involving local drivers, especially women, offering them professional branding and support to help them earn more and operate at a higher service level within Bolt's ecosystem.

The fleet's launch signals a deliberate effort to empower women entrepreneurs and drivers within a traditionally male-dominated industry, fostering both representation and inclusive growth. Lerato Motsoeneng, Bolt's Senior GM for South Africa, stated that this launch represents a pivotal moment for Bolt in Cape Town, as working with leaders like Daisy and Elize allows Bolt to grow responsibly while empowering local businesses and drivers.

The number of vehicles in the fleet is expected to grow to 64 by the end of June. The fleet is also available via Bolt Business, targeting corporate clients with social impact goals. This move reinforces Bolt’s commitment to affordability, quality, and driver rewards, as the company continues to revamp ride categories and introduce features like Family Profiles for safer, smarter shared mobility.

In essence, the Bolt Citroën fleet enhances Cape Town's e-hailing landscape by delivering better vehicles, supporting local and women drivers, and expanding safe and affordable mobility options for all. This initiative strengthens Bolt's presence in Cape Town and fosters greater inclusion within the ride-hailing sector.
