Boosting Apple's In-Store Shops before the Holiday Season

Apple and Target Strengthen Partnership with Enhanced Shop-in-Shops and Loyalty Perks

Target and tech giant Apple are fortifying their partnership, with over 150 Apple shop-in-shops now situated within Target stores—a tripling of locations compared to earlier this year. The collaboration initially began with just 17 locations in 2021.

These shop-in-shops feature Apple-trained Target tech consultants and double the space dedicated to Apple products, as per Target's announcement. Jill Sando, Target's chief merchandising officer, depicted the Apple shops as part of a series of "branded, immersive retail experiences" that Target has been developing in recent years, along with its collaborations with organizations such as Ulta Beauty, Disney, and Levi's.

An essential component of the expanded partnership with Apple includes four free months of Apple Fitness+, the tech company's subscription app providing workout videos and audio, for members of Target's loyalty program, the Target Circle. Starting in November, Target Circle members will also benefit from complimentary trials of other Apple services, including Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and iCloud+. These trial offers expire in September 2023.

While the precise timeline for the expansion of Apple shop-in-shops in Target and the details of the benefits they provide have not been explicitly provided, it is evident that both companies aim to leverage technology and loyalty programs to enhance customer engagements.
