Brüggemann Unveils Metal- & Halogen-Free Additives at K 2025
Brüggemann, a leading provider of additives for plastics, will exhibit its latest innovations at the K 2025 trade fair in Düsseldorf. The company, recently acquired by Köster GmbH, has expanded its portfolio and focuses on free metal- and halogen-free additives.
Brüggemann's expanded product range includes chemically functionalized polyolefin-based polymers from its Italian subsidiary Auserpolimeri, acquired in 2022. These serve as impact modifiers, enhancing the performance of various plastic compounds.
The company also specialises in long-term heat stabilizers for XLPE compounds, such as Bruggolen TP-H2431, enabling T3/T4 classification for cable applications. Additionally, Brüggemann aims to improve free flow properties during injection molding of thermoplastics, even with high percentages of reinforcing fibers.
A notable addition to its portfolio is the new generation of metal- and halogen-free heat stabilizers, Bruggolen TP-H2217. These stabilizers are designed for reinforced polyamides and can withstand high temperatures up to 170°C for up to 8,000 hours.
At K 2025, Brüggemann will showcase its commitment to enhancing thermal resistance in thermoplastics while maintaining electrical and flame-retardant properties. The company's focus on free metal- and halogen-free additives aligns with industry trends towards sustainability and performance.
