Car Company ROADMEDIC Introduces Airbag Deployment Device and REVIVER Model I2X

In an exciting development for automotive safety, ROADMEDIC and REVIVER have announced a groundbreaking partnership to integrate ROADMEDIC's innovative Airbag 9-1-1 Deployment Chip into vehicles equipped with REVIVER's technology. This collaboration aims to revolutionise emergency response by instantly notifying first responders when a crash occurs, potentially saving lives.

The ROADMEDIC chip, a cutting-edge safety solution, enables vehicles to communicate crash events through cellular-vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) technology. This technology has recently gained regulatory support from the Federal Communications Commission, with the goal of improving transportation safety. By linking this with REVIVER's platform, emergency services can receive instant, precise crash data, allowing for quicker dispatch and potentially saving lives.

The partnership also aims to democratise vehicle safety across various models. In addition, the integration of drone first responder technology allows for near-immediate on-site data gathering and visual assessments. This will provide emergency services with live situational awareness for faster, more effective emergency response.

REVIVER®, known for manufacturing the first and only legal digital license plate in the world (the RPLATE®), will serve as the gateway for this integration via the REVIVER® RPLATE® platform. The ROADMEDIC chip links airbag deployments to 9-1-1 emergency services in real time, providing critical information, including images and videos, from motorists in roadside emergencies.

The project is expected to play a pivotal role in the evolution of NG911, the Next Generation 911 system. REVIVER® and ROADMEDIC® are collaborating to integrate real-time data transmission and visual context into the NG911 system. This enhanced situational awareness will significantly improve the accuracy and speed of emergency responses.

Lawrence Williams, CEO of ROADMEDIC, stated that the innovation marks a major leap forward in automotive safety by enhancing the connection between crash detection and emergency response. The ROADMEDIC chip technology was announced at the Connected Vehicle Systems Alliance (COVESA) All Members Meeting in Novi, Michigan on September 25-26. ROADMEDIC has also announced the commercial launch of its new chip technology for vehicles, set to debut in 2027 model year vehicles.

REVIVER® will participate in the panel session entitled "911's Role in the Connected Safe System Approach" at the upcoming COVESA All Member Meeting in Novi, Michigan. The company is also participating as a founding company in the LiDAR Saving Lives Public Safety Coalition's 9-1-1 Dispatcher Visibility Demonstration Project, which will showcase the world's first end-to-end, real-time infrastructure-to-everything (I2X) communication system.

This partnership represents a significant step forward in the field of automotive safety and emergency response, with the potential to save countless lives. As both companies continue to innovate and collaborate, we can look forward to a future where emergency services are more responsive and effective than ever before.

  1. The integration of ROADMEDIC's Airbag 9-1-1 Deployment Chip and REVIVER's technology aims to democratize safety across various vehicle models, leveraging vehicle connectivity, and technology to revolutionize emergency response in the automotive industry.
  2. By combining the ROADMEDIC chip's real-time data transmission capabilities with REVIVER's RPLATE platform, this partnership is poised to significantly improve the accuracy and speed of emergency responses, potentially saving lives, and playing a pivotal role in the evolution of the Next Generation 911 (NG911) system.
  3. The collaboration between ROADMEDIC and REVIVER in enhancing vehicle safety features, such as the Airbag 9-1-1 Deployment Chip and drone first responder technology, has the potential to reshape the finance and insurance sectors of the transportation industry by reducing costs associated with accidents and emergency response times.
