CATL Unveils EnerOne Outdoor Liquid Cooling Battery for Australian Energy Storage
Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) has made waves at All Energy Australia, unveiling its innovative EnerOne outdoor liquid cooling battery system. This marks another significant step for the company, which has been steadily expanding its presence in Australia's burgeoning energy storage market.
CATL's EnerOne system is not just another battery solution. It's designed to take up 35% less floor space than traditional air-cooling products, making it a space-saving option for various applications. Compatible with inverters ranging from 600 to 1,500 volts, EnerOne's versatility is another standout feature.
The system has proven its safety and reliability, obtaining a UL9540A test report without fire or extra thermal propagation. It has also completed an Australian standards product compliance review, ensuring it meets local regulations.
CATL's partnership with ACEnergy has resulted in several large-scale utility-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across Australia. These include the Little River BESS and Joel Joel BESS projects in Victoria, and the Supernode 8-hour battery storage solution in Queensland. Beyond these, CATL has also contributed to the first major grid-connected battery in Western Australia and the 250MWh project on Torrens Island in South Australia, in collaboration with Quinbrook.
CATL's energy storage systems have also been deployed in a large-scale rooftop PV system of a hospital in New South Wales, demonstrating their role in sustainable development.
CATL's EnerOne outdoor liquid cooling battery system, with its space-saving design, wide compatibility, and proven safety, is set to make a significant impact in Australia's clean energy transition. CATL's partnerships and projects across the country further cement its commitment to driving Australia's energy storage market forward.
