The Nintendo Switch continues to shine in the gaming world, with several of its titles receiving nominations at this year's The Game Awards. The event, scheduled for December 12, promises to be a celebration of the best games of the year.

Nintendo is making a significant impact at this year's awards, with two of its flagship titles, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Bros. Wonder, both vying for the prestigious Game of the Year award. Both games have also been nominated in five categories each, making Nintendo the most nominated publisher at the event[1].

In the world of fighting games, Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics has been nominated for Best Fighting. The sports/racing category sees nominations for EA Sports FC 25 and NBA 2K25.

The Game Awards 2023 also recognises games for their impact on society, with Tales of Kenzera: Zau nominated for Games for Impact. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is nominated for Innovation in Accessibility and Best Action/Adventure.

Lastly, Unicorn Overlord has been nominated for Best Sim/Strategy.
