Celebratory Exhibition of Retro Technology on the Day of Victory, at Biosk
In the heart of Biysk, on Petrovsky Boulevard's entrance, an engaging retro-tech exhibition graced the city on the occasion of Victory Day. Initially, a series of vintage cars and motorcycles were gracefully stationed at the boulevard's entrance, causing quite a stir among onlookers, who eagerly waved as the parade of automobiles moved towards the exhibition site.
The exhibition proved to be a captivating experience, particularly for families with children, who couldn't resist the urge to climb behind the wheels and give them a spin. Snapping photos alongside these nostalgic vehicles was also encouraged.
Each vehicle boasted a proud owner clad in a World War II-era uniform, making them easily identifiable.
Elena Demidova, a reenactor and member of the "Patriot" military-historical club, offered her perspective to "BR" correspondents:
- This exhibit features around three military vehicles and roughly ten vintage cars. While you can't actually climb aboard these pristine, functional vehicles, kids can certainly snap a photo next to them. It's astonishing to see just how many boys, nearly 12 years old, recognize the motorcycle models and what a PPSh is. Their acquaintance with history is impressive. So, our future lies in the young generation.
She also mentioned that on May 6 and 7, reenactors went to schools in the city, educating children on vehicles, motorcycles, showing them weapons, helmets, and uniforms from the Great Patriotic War.
