Chelyabinsk Resident, 21, Charged After Gosuslugi Portal Fraud
A 21-year-old resident of Chelyabinsk has been charged after an investigation into a fraud case involving the Gosuslugi portal. The accused admitted guilt and compensated over 1,100,000 rubles of the damage caused.
The accused, a young man from Chelyabinsk, exploited a security vulnerability to gain unauthorized access to personal pages on the Gosuslugi portal. He bought phone numbers of residents and applied for loans in their names, causing a total damage of 2,100,000 rubles. Eighteen individuals and six legal entities were affected by his actions.
The case was sent to the Kalininsky District Court of Chelyabinsk for trial. The accused was charged under several articles of the Criminal Code. These include part two of article 272, which covers unauthorized access to computer information, and points 'g' of part three of article 158, which deals with theft.
The accused admitted his guilt and compensated a significant portion of the damage caused. The case is now with the Kalininsky District Court of Chelyabinsk, where the accused will face charges for his actions.
