Chinese GPU, Lisuan G100, demonstrates potential, according to recent OpenCL benchmarks; outperforming Arc A770 and RTX 4060, yet trailing behind RTX 5060 by 10%.

The technology world is abuzz with excitement as Chinese firm Lisuan Technology has tested a new variant of its G100 graphics card. The new G100, boasting 48 Compute Units (CUs), is making waves with its potential to rival some of the best graphics cards on the market.

The new G100, with its 6nm process GPU and 12 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit bus, has delivered marginally higher performance than Intel's Arc A770 and Nvidia's RTX 4060. In fact, it has demonstrated performance that is within approximately 10% of Nvidia's upcoming RTX 5060. This places the G100 in the mid-to-upper entry-level gaming GPU segment, marking a significant leap compared to previous Chinese GPUs.

The G100's 12GB memory capacity is notably higher than many competitors in its class, potentially benefiting high-resolution gaming and workloads requiring more memory. In comparison to leading market GPUs, the G100 has shown an OpenCL score of 111,290, outperforming Intel’s Arc A770 and Nvidia’s RTX 4060, while coming within approximately 10% of Nvidia’s upcoming RTX 5060.

While the specifications of the new G100 do not allow for a direct comparison with mainstream graphics cards due to the lack of information about the TrueGPU architecture, the G100’s higher VRAM and competitive power consumption are promising signs.

The new benchmark for the G100, uncovered by Benchleaks, sheds new light on the G100's performance. Lisuan Technology, known for designing the TrueGPU architecture from scratch without any licensed IP, will host a product launch tomorrow, providing more information on the G100.

Pricing for the G100 is estimated between $300–$450, targeting consumers seeking competitive performance against mid-range Nvidia and Intel GPUs. With its promising performance and competitive pricing, the Lisuan G100 could shake up the mid-range graphics card market.
