Classic Movie Characters Spring to Life in Exciting Universal Studios' Parade
The Remarkable Movie Marvel at Universal Studios Florida
Step into the spectacular world of Universal Mega Movie Parade, a cinematic extravaganza that'll have any movie enthusiast jumping with excitement! This limited-time spectacle marks the triumphant come-back of iconic Universal Studios Florida mainstays, either opening day attractions or early park veterans, such as Back to the Future, Jaws, Ghostbusters, Jurassic World, and the beloved E.T. with their timeless attractions still in place. Joining the ranks are kid-friendly hits like Illumination's Minions and Sing, DreamWorks Animation's Trolls and Kung Fu Panda.
To catch a glimpse of this breathtaking parade before it's no more, check out the video shared by Park Hop below.
One of the highlights of the parade showcases popular moments from blockbuster films, including the towering 16-foot Stay Puft Marshmallow Man atop the Ghostbusters float, as the crew breathtakingly reenacts the film's finale. Although it seems a bit jarring, we can't help but appreciate the inclusion of the Spengler grandkids, alongside the very much alive Egon - yay for movie magic! Fans will also enjoy didactic Tully and Janine sauntering by.
The cast members' improv performances are off the charts, a Universal Parks trademark. The interactions between the mayor and Chief Brody in front of the Jaws float are spot-on. We hope they conduct dockside meet-and-greets by the shark photo-op outside the parade, with Quint stealing the show! It's a bit disappointing that Quint didn't appear halfway in Jaws' mouth, but it'd be a bit harsh for the kid-centric crowd to see the toothy T-Rex and cuddly Minions and Trolls sharing the spotlight. One question though - where is Hooper?
Devoted E.T. fans who've been relieved that DreamWorks Land hasn't replaced the long-standing E.T. Adventure ride will jump for joy at the float recreating the bike scene! Elliott and his pals reenact their tear-jerking, gravity-defying escape. Kids might be puzzled at first, thinking it's a Stranger Things reference until they spot the little alien in the basket.
The grand finale features a mind-blowing float highlighting Steven Spielberg's Jurassic World franchise, complete with a moving animatronic T-Rex stomping a vintage Jurassic Park jeep, while a Jurassic World Gyrosphere makes a thrilling escape. Of course, we can't forget the stunning Back to the Future float - it's like stepping into a movie poster!
The fusion of classic films with contemporary blockbusters - these wouldn't be here if not for Spielberg's hits. If you make it this summer, don't miss the parade along with the magnificent Cinesational nighttime lagoon show for an all-round film fandom experience from Universal.
