Capgemini Acquires Cloud4C: A Leap Towards AI-Powered Cloud Transformations
Capgemini, a leading multinational consulting and digital transformation company, has announced an agreement to acquire Singapore-based Cloud4C. This strategic move is set to bolster Capgemini's capabilities in cloud managed services, cloud strategies, and hybrid cloud solutions.
Founded by Rajan Kohli, Cloud4C specializes in end-to-end offerings that extend to areas including process automation, data loss prevention, and business continuity. As a global premium partner of RISE with SAP, Cloud4C's strategic fit with Capgemini, who has been a strategic partner with SAP for decades, is evident.
The acquisition is expected to enable Capgemini to champion general AI-powered cloud automation platforms. Capgemini's CEO, Aiman Ezzat, praised Cloud4C's impressive track record in large-scale cloud transformations.
With the acquisition, Capgemini plans to advance development of industry-specific packaged frameworks, intellectual property, and generative AI solutions. These advancements are likely to be reflected in Capgemini's current hiring spree, with 123 job openings available in Singapore.
Some of these job openings may be in the field of cloud managed services, cloud strategies, and hybrid cloud solutions. However, the tech and startup sector is also expected to see a significant number of openings, given Capgemini's focus on process automation, data loss prevention, and business continuity.
Capgemini's hiring could also be a result of their acquisition of Cloud4C, a company with a workforce of 1,600 employees. The company's job openings may also be related to the streamlining of cloud management and migrations with the help of AI solutions.
The acquisition of Cloud4C has made Capgemini a strategic fit with RISE with SAP, potentially opening up new opportunities for collaboration. Capgemini aims to offer scalable industry-specific solutions with the help of the acquired technologies from Cloud4C.
The job openings may also be in areas such as process automation, data loss prevention, and business continuity.
