Guitaring with the Glow-in-the-Dark Maestro: Plini meets Strandberg for a Signature Masterpiece

Get ready to rock the nights away with Plini's exceptional collaboration with Strandberg, the NX 6 Plini Edition Mirage! This limited-edition, headless beauty is intoxicated with a glow-in-the-dark graphic design, right up Strandberg's alley, revealed in their signature Boden Standard line.

If it looks eerily familiar, don't be alarmed - it debuted at NAMM 2025, accompanied by a limited pre-order batch shipped in May, graced with a signed copy of Plini's very own Mirage EP. But now it's out, and it's time to uncover what makes it tick!

"It's based on the Boden Standard, so it shares many of the same features," Plini explains. "But with my unique pickup configuration, a three-way switch, a tremolo, and just a volume knob - no tone knob." The secret sauce, however, lies in the captivating graphic inspired by Plini's Mirage EP, but the idea predates the EP by quite a while.

In Plini's wardrobe, he found a raincoat with a squiggly design on the back, thinking, "That would look cool on a guitar!" After a little Photoshop magic, he sent his idea to Ola Strandberg, and the rest, as they say, is history.

The design, finished in sleek Black Granite Satin Acrylic with the Mirage graphics, catches the eye. The guitar is chock-full of future-forward specs, a testament to Strandberg's innovative edge.

The headless design and the EndurNeck, a neck shape deviation, put traditional orthodoxy in check, favoring comfort and playability. Carbon-fiber reinforced roasted maple, a bolted meranti body, and an unobtrusive joint make up the ergonomics-first design, enabling unrestricted access to all notes on the fingerboard.

Like a beacon in the night, Luminlay side dot markers aid fretboard navigation, and a custom Luminlay moon inlay at the 12th fret adds a spooky-cool touch.

The Bottom Line: Priced at $1,999, the Mirage edition is limited edition, and you can place your order from Strandberg themselves, complete with a gig bag. To quench your curiosity about Plini and the modded Strandberg he plays, catch our chat with Plini from ArcTanGent 2024.
