The Chinese ODM Shanghai Sixunited Intelligent Technology Co, Ltd. has announced the upcoming STHT1 motherboard, which will leverage AMD's Ryzen AI Max 300-series (codenamed Strix Halo) processors. This motherboard is designed for the DIY PC enthusiast market and conforms to the thin Mini-ITX standard (170 mm x 170 mm).

The STHT1 motherboard boasts several impressive features. It offers connectivity through two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and two USB 2.0 ports, as well as two HDMI 2.1 ports and one VGA port. For storage, it has two PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots for M.2 2280 SSDs.

Strix Halo, the processor used in the STHT1, features AMD's latest Zen 5 cores and an improved RDNA 3.5 graphics engine. The Radeon 8060S unit on Strix Halo has up to 40 compute units. The motherboard also has a substantially lower z-height, making it suitable for AIO and small form factor (SFF) systems.

The Strix Halo lineup consists of three models: Ryzen AI Max+ 395 (16 cores), Ryzen AI Max 390 (12 cores), and Ryzen AI Max 385 (8 cores). Sixunited has paired the Strix Halo chip with 128GB of LPDDR5X memory, with eight memory chips, each 16GB, soldered to the motherboard.

Regarding the expected release date, while the unveiling occurred by late July 2025, there is no official specific launch date announced yet. The motherboard is primarily targeted toward OEMs initially, with potential availability to individual builders soon after.

As for the price, Sixunited has not specified any pricing information for the STHT1 motherboard. Given its high-end features, the price is expected to be positioned at the premium end of the Thin Mini-ITX segment, but exact numbers remain unannounced.

The STHT1 motherboard appears to have mounting holes for CPU coolers compatible with Intel's LGA 1xxx socket. It also has one Gigabit Ethernet port and an M.2 2230 port for installing a wireless module. Sixunited can convert the VGA port to a DisplayPort output or COM port based on user preference.

The STHT1 draws power from a standard 19V DC IN port and has USB headers to expand the number of ports. However, Sixunited has not disclosed the pricing for the STHT1 motherboard or its release date.
