CyberArk Boosts Machine Identity Security with Major Portfolio Enhancements

CyberArk, a leading provider of machine identity security, has announced significant enhancements to its portfolio. These updates address the growing complexity of managing machine identities, which now outnumber human identities by 82 to 1, making manual processes inadequate.

CyberArk's new discovery, context, and remediation capabilities provide much-needed visibility and control. These features enable automatic discovery and security of machine identities, including certificates, keys, secrets, and workloads. This comes as 72% of security leaders have experienced certificate-related outages, and 50% have reported breaches due to compromised machine identities.

The enhancements were unveiled at the IMPACT World Tour 2025 conference. Kurt Sand, GM of machine identity security at CyberArk, acknowledged the challenges in implementing machine identity security programs. To tackle this, CyberArk has introduced several new tools:

  • CyberArk Secrets Hub now offers Discovery and Context for HashiCorp Vault, along with a Risk Management and Remediation Dashboard.
  • CyberArk SSH Manager for Machines introduces New Authorization and Policy Controls for better SSH key management.
  • CyberArk Certificate Manager, SaaS includes a CA/B Forum TLS Certificate (47-day) Dashboard, Code Sign Management, Policy Enforcement, and Deep DevOps Integrations.
  • The CyberArk MSP Hub, released in March 2023, aims to support the growth of identity-first MSPs and help CyberArk become a leading provider in end-to-end machine identity security.

These updates from CyberArk reflect the increasing importance of machine identity security in today's digital landscape. By providing better visibility, control, and automation, these tools help organizations secure their environments more efficiently and mitigate the risks associated with machine identity sprawl and compromise.
