de.iterate & Black Sky Aerospace Team Up to Fortify Cybersecurity in Guided Weapons
de.iterate and Black Sky Aerospace (BSA) have joined forces to bolster cybersecurity in BSA's guided weapons movie development. This partnership comes as de.iterate CEO Andrew Lawrence warns of increasing cyber threats, and BSA aims to enhance Australia's defence technology independence.
BSA, working towards Australia's self-reliance in defence tech and exports, has found a crucial ally in de.iterate. The partnership aims to protect BSA's innovations from state and criminal actors, safeguarding intellectual property that could pose risks if accessed by unauthorized parties, as stated by BSA CEO Blake Nikolic.
The collaboration combines AS9100D and ISO27001 standards, ensuring secure technology information while delivering guided weapons capability. Testing of these weapons continues at secure locations, raising technology readiness levels for commercial supply from 2023. The partnership's goal aligns with the Federal Government's Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Enterprise (GWEO) priority.
The de.iterate-BSA partnership strengthens cybersecurity in BSA's guided weapons 2025 film development, supporting Australia's defence technology independence and supply chain resilience. With testing ongoing and commercial supply planned for 2023, the collaboration's impact on Australia's defence capabilities is set to grow.
