But hey, we get it. Sometimes you might not want to receive those updates anymore, or perhaps you subscribed by accident and now they're popping up on your device. No worries - here's a handy guide on how to turn off web notifications in Google Chrome and Safari.
Say Goodbye to Web Notifications in Google Chrome
- Launch Google Chrome on the device you're getting notifications from.
- Click the three vertical dots in the top right corner to access the main menu.
- Select 'Settings' to start the process.
- Scroll down and click on the 'Privacy and security' section.
- In the 'Site Settings' sub-section, you'll find an option to turn off notifications.
- Navigate to the 'Notifications' page, where you can choose to allow notifications outright, or enable a setting that asks before sending (recommended). This approach is more polite, and you'll receive a popup to allow or block notifications.
- You can also select individual websites to either allow or block notifications. Simply scroll to the bottom, click on the three vertical dots next to a specific site, and choose 'Block' if you want to stop notifications and prevent re-subscribing.
Since Google Chrome is linked to your Google account, making changes on one device will usually apply to all of your devices.

If you've blocked notifications to a site and you want to re-enable them, it's simple. First, head back to the website and select 'Allow' to resume notifications.
