2026 Dodge Charger R/T and Scat Pack Models: SIXPACK Twin-Turbo Engines and Performance

The automotive world is abuzz with excitement as Dodge unveils its latest offering – the 2026 Charger lineup, powered by the SIXPACK twin-turbo engines. Among the variants, the Charger R/T and Scat Pack models have garnered significant attention for their impressive performance capabilities.

The Charger R/T, equipped with the standard-output (S.O.) 420 horsepower SIXPACK engine, is yet to have a specifically published 0-60 mph time. However, given the performance of the Scat Pack's high-output (H.O.) 550 horsepower SIXPACK engine, which achieves a 0-60 mph time of 3.9 seconds [1][2][4], it's safe to assume that the R/T with the lower horsepower engine will be slower, although official numbers have not been specified in the current data.

The Scat Pack, on the other hand, delivers a staggering 0-60 mph time, thanks to its 550 horsepower and strong torque delivery. The SIXPACK engine, a 3.0-litre Hurricane Twin Turbo inline-six, maintains 88% of peak torque at 2,500 rpm and maintains more than 90% of peak torque from 3,000 to 6,000 rpm, ensuring a sporty and responsive driving experience.

The Charger R/T, with its all-wheel-drive system, uses the twin-turbo 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six engine. The system can send 100% of torque to the rear wheels through a multi-disc wet clutch system activated by a button, offering a dynamic driving experience. Precise acceleration stats for the R/T are yet to be officially released.

The Scat Pack trim of the 2026 Charger offers a Plus trim with premium LED lighting, wireless charging, heads-up display, and Demonic Red leather seating options, adding a touch of luxury to its performance. The SIXPACK models of the 2026 Charger also feature a distinctive performance hood with a black grille-style bezel and dual-mode active exhaust with 100mm rolled tips, further emphasising their sporty nature.

The 2026 Charger's Performance Pages show acceleration times and vehicle metrics, allowing drivers to monitor and improve their performance. The vehicle also boasts the widest body of any car in the industry, adding to its imposing presence on the road.

The release schedule for the 2026 Charger includes the opening of two-door Scat Pack orders in August 2025, with two-door Scat Pack dealership arrivals in late 2025. The R/T model and four-door variants will follow in early 2026. The four-door variants have a base MSRP $3,000 higher than the two-door models.

The interior design of the 2026 Charger draws inspiration from the 1968 Charger, offering a nod to its rich history while incorporating modern technology. The centre touchscreen provides access to Uconnect 5 infotainment, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Optional features include surround-view cameras, park assist systems, and traffic sign recognition.

Standard safety equipment in the 2026 Charger includes automatic emergency braking with vulnerable road user detection, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, blind-spot monitoring, and active lane management. The vehicle also comes with a 10.25-inch standard digital cluster, with an optional 16-inch upgrade.

The 2026 Charger R/T starts at $62,290 in Canada, offering 420 horsepower, while the Scat Pack starts at $72,290, offering 550 horsepower. Optional packages for the Scat Pack trim include Carbon & Suede with real carbon-fibre accents, Blacktop Package with dark exterior trim, and an 18-speaker Alpine audio system.

Available Attitude Adjustment lighting spans 270 degrees from driver door to passenger door in the 2026 Charger, offering 64 colours and intensity adjustment, adding a personal touch to the vehicle's appearance. Dodge has launched the 2026 Charger lineup, promising an exhilarating driving experience for those who seek power and performance.
