Electronic device manufacturer Netronix anticipates increased expansion through the introduction of foldable and expanded e-readers.

Netronix, a leading player in the e-paper device market, is gearing up for a robust year in 2025, with a strategy centred on expanding its colour and foldable e-reader lineup and advancing large-format e-paper signage production.

The company, headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, has been at the forefront of e-reader technology for the past fifteen years, with editor-in-chief Michael Kozlowski, a renowned figure in the industry, penning articles about audiobooks and e-readers for numerous notable publications such as the CBC, CNET, Engadget, Huffington Post, and the New York Times.

In 2025, Netronix is set to introduce the BooksPad, a 7.8-inch e-reader device in collaboration with Books.com.tw, Taiwan’s largest e-book platform. This move is part of Netronix’s strategy to expand its footprint in the Chinese-language e-book market.

Another exciting development is the Mooink V, the world's first foldable colour e-reader, which Netronix is developing in partnership with Readmoo. This innovative product is expected to attract significant industry attention and help drive growth in colour e-reader sales, which made up 64% of Netronix’s e-reader sales in 2024 and are projected to exceed 70% in 2025.

Netronix is also actively pushing into the development of new large-size e-paper signage devices. Despite some production delays in E Ink’s new H5 large-format panel manufacturing line, the company remains committed to scaling up production via upcoming H5 and H6 lines. Digital signage is eyed as a key future market.

The company is projecting strong growth in 2025, driven by an expanding product lineup and surging demand for e-paper devices. Netronix is forecasting a double-digit growth in shipments, particularly in the fourth quarter, due to heightened holiday demand. The company's focus remains on larger e-paper devices and e-notebooks in the future.

Moreover, Netronix plans to refresh existing Rakuten Kobo e-readers by equipping them with larger batteries. However, whether Barnes and Noble will release a new NOOK this year remains undetermined.

With a robust growth in revenue expected, driven by a diversified portfolio of consumer and commercial e-paper products, Netronix is poised for an exciting future in the e-paper device market.

The BooksPad, a new e-reader device, will be introduced in 2025 by Netronix, in collaboration with Books.com.tw, joining other gadgets like smartphones and tablets in the technology sphere. In addition, Netronix is developing the Mooink V, the world's first foldable colour e-reader, aiming to expand the market for coloured e-readers and stimulate growth.
