Enhanced On-Board Wi-Fi Service Unveiled by EVA Air
EVA Air Announces Enhanced In-Flight Entertainment and Wi-Fi Services
Starting from July 1, 2022, EVA Air is set to enhance its in-flight entertainment system and Wi-Fi services, with a focus on providing a more connected and enjoyable travel experience.
From July 1, all passengers on selected aircraft types will have access to free Wi-Fi. This promotion will run until September 30, 2022. Passengers are advised to book their flights and provide their membership number to take advantage of this offer. Those not yet members of EVA Air's "Infinity MileageLands" programme can register for free.
From October 1, 2025, the airline will implement a new permanent Wi-Fi model. Premium Economy and Economy Class passengers will have free Wi-Fi access based on their membership tier. Business Class passengers will have unlimited Wi-Fi access, regardless of their membership status.
Green card (entry-level) members will have unlimited Wi-Fi access in Premium Economy and limited access in Economy, while Diamond, Gold, and Silver card members will have unlimited Wi-Fi access in all classes. Non-members will have free Wi-Fi only in Business Class.
Passengers can access a variety of content using their personal headphones and mobile devices. The new Wi-Fi service will allow unlimited surfing, but without video streaming, voice calls, or VPN services. A wireless system will also be available for personal devices on short-haul aircraft.
In addition to the Wi-Fi enhancements, EVA Air is modernizing the in-flight entertainment system of its Airbus A321-200 fleet. The modernized system is expected to be available on all short-haul aircraft by early 2026.
