Enhancement in Mobile Network Service at Breitbrunn by Telekom

Deutsche Telekom, Germany's leading telecommunications company, has announced plans to significantly expand its LTE and 5G mobile network infrastructure across the country, including the district of Breitbrunn and the city of Munich. This expansion is part of the company's ongoing efforts to improve mobile network services and keep pace with global advancements.

The expansion in Breitbrunn includes the implementation of LTE technology and the improvement of mobile network coverage. As a result, a new mobile network site has been put into operation, and the supply of households with fast mobile internet in Breitbrunn has increased to 97 percent. Nine mobile network sites in Breitbrunn are set to be expanded with LTE or 5G over the coming years, and another 22 sites are planned for improvement.

In addition to Breitbrunn, Deutsche Telekom has expanded its mobile network in Munich, ensuring that all mobile network sites now support emergency calls and warnings. The mobile network coverage in both locations has been improved, providing residents and businesses with enhanced mobile services.

Deutsche Telekom's expansion strategy involves investing heavily in 5G radio access networks (RAN), which are crucial for good 5G coverage and user experience. The company is deploying mid-band and sub-GHz spectrum to balance speed and coverage, including in rural and indoor areas. By 2028, Deutsche Telekom aims to leverage 5G standalone core networks and advanced 5G-Advanced technologies, enabling broader spectrum usage, including lower frequencies for better coverage and industrial/private 5G deployments for vertical sectors.

This expansion aligns with broader European trends of accelerated 5G rollout and infrastructure investment. By 2028, Germany's mobile networks are expected to achieve higher speeds, lower latency, and improved reliability. The expansion may also contribute to the development of new technologies and services in the region.
