Equinix & Axiz Partner to Meet Rising Data Centre Demand in South Africa
Equinix, a global data centre and interconnection company, has partnered with Axiz, a leading technology distributor in South Africa. The collaboration aims to meet the rising demand for data centres and secure connectivity, while simplifying routes to market for resellers.
Sandile Dube, Managing Director of Equinix in South Africa, is spearheading this strategic alliance. The partnership seeks to accelerate Equinix's ability to serve the growing need for data centres supporting cloud workloads and secure connectivity to global platforms in the region.
For Axiz, this deal strengthens its strategy of empowering the channel with next-generation technologies. Through this partnership, Axiz will offer Equinix's data centre and interconnection solutions, including access to the Johannesburg IBX data centre (JN1) and the Equinix Fabric® platform. This will enable resellers to procure, build solutions, and close deals more swiftly.
Equinix and Axiz have signed a distribution agreement to expand access to advanced digital infrastructure services in South Africa and beyond. The partnership simplifies routes to market for resellers, allowing them to better serve the growing demand for data centres and secure connectivity.
