EU's Cybersecurity Agency Warns of Escalating Digital Threats
The EU's cybersecurity agency, ENISA, has released a stark warning. The threat level to Europe's digital infrastructure has escalated, with DDoS attacks and ransomware posing significant risks in cyber security.
ENISA's report reveals a worrying trend: DDoS attacks, often carried out by 'hacktivists', account for a staggering 77% of reported incidents. The transport sector follows with 7.5%, while digital infrastructures, finance, and industry also face threats in cyber security.
Public administration is the most targeted sector, with 38.2% of incidents. Diplomatic and state institutions are particularly vulnerable to cyber espionage.
