In an exciting development for the world of outdoor technology, Hypershell has unveiled the Hypershell X – the world's first outdoor exoskeleton. This innovative device promises to revolutionise the way we tackle challenging terrains and long journeys.

The Hypershell X offers an impressive range of up to 17.5km (for the standard model) and 30km (for the Ultra variant), making it ideal for various outdoor activities. With a peak output of 800 Watts and 32 Nm of torque delivered to the legs, the Hypershell X provides up to 40% more leg power with 30% less physical exertion.

Charging the Hypershell X is a breeze. It takes just 35 minutes to charge from 0-50% and 88 minutes to reach 100%, using 65 W PD fast charging. The device is also IP54 dust and water resistant, making it suitable for desert trails and rainy days.

The Hypershell X is more than just a powerful machine; it adapts to the user. The AI MotionEngine detects intended movements in real time, and with each wear, the device becomes more effective at assisting the user, adapting to the user's stride signature and biomechanics.

The Hypershell X range includes several Active Activity Modes, tailored to specific outdoor activities. Whether you're climbing and descending hills and stairs, walking and running, cycling, or navigating specific terrains such as gravel and mountain, the Hypershell X has a mode to suit your needs.

For cyclists, the Hypershell X Ultra claims to reduce heart rate by 42% and oxygen consumption by 39% during riding. The Go, Pro, and Carbon models (excluding the X Go) also offer a cycling mode that provides subtle assistance.

The Hypershell X is not just a tool for professionals. It starts at $799 (around £625), making it accessible to a wide audience. The device can be worn over clothes and is adjustable for different body sizes and shapes.

For those who want more control, an optional app allows users to control the Hypershell X, offering performance data visualisation and real-time controls. The Hypershell X can even offset up to 30 kg of weight when carrying heavy bags.

The Hypershell X's service life varies among models. The Go model boasts a service life of 1,864 miles (3,000km), while the X Pro and X Carbon have service lives of 2,485 miles (4,000km). The top-of-the-range Hypershell X Ultra weighs a manageable 1.8kg.

The operating temperature for the Hypershell X ranges from -4° to 140° F (-20° to 60°C). An article by Advnture writer Julia Clarke details her experience using the Hypershell X to hike Britain's highest mountain.

The Hypershell X is available directly from the Hypershell X website. With its advanced robotics, impressive range, and adaptive capabilities, the Hypershell X is set to redefine outdoor exploration.
