Expanding Retail Presence in 5 Indian Cities, Ultraviolette Aims for a Nationwide Reach of 100 Cities by Fiscal Year 26

Expands sales presence in five Indian urban centers; intention to extend to 100 cities nationwide by the financial year 2025-26 from Ultraviolette.

Ultraviolette, an Indian electric vehicle manufacturer, has announced a significant update for its F77 electric motorcycle series. The update introduces a new performance mode named Ballistic+, which promises quicker acceleration, sharper throttle control, and improved dynamic handling.

The new Ballistic+ mode is a refinement of the original Ballistic mode, developed based on extensive analysis of over 8 million kilometers of rider data collected globally, mainly from India and Europe. This data-driven approach enabled Ultraviolette to create the Gen 3 powertrain firmware, released in 2025.

The Ballistic+ mode delivers a significantly sharper, quicker, and more immediate surge of power, especially during initial acceleration. It maintains the F77's top speed of 155 km/h but improves the 0-100 km/h sprint time from the previous 7.7 seconds to a faster figure, enhancing the bike's performance feel.

The update is deployed free via over-the-air (OTA) firmware to all F77 owners, signaling Ultraviolette’s strategy of evolving the motorcycle as a software-defined platform that gains capabilities post-purchase. The throttle response is more aggressive with refined motor-controller algorithms and battery management optimizations, enabled by the company's Violette A.I. system monitoring thousands of ride parameters to continually improve performance.

This mode aims primarily at advanced riders who seek heightened throttle precision, quicker acceleration bursts, and a more dynamic riding experience. Riders have reportedly found the updated F77 to be sharper not only in straight-line acceleration but also more responsive around corners, indicating improvements to overall ride dynamics.

Ultraviolette offers several electric motorcycles, including the Ultraviolette Shockwave, F77 Mach 2, F99, F77 SuperStreet, and Tesseract. The company is expanding its presence to Rajasthan and West Bengal through new experience centers, which will be end-to-end facilities for test rides, motorcycle deliveries, post-sales service, and spares support.

Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder of Ultraviolette, stated that the expansion reflects agility and long-term strategic planning. Ultraviolette aims to be present in 100 cities by FY2026. The price of the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 remains at ₹ 2.99 Lakhs.

The learnings from the Violette A.I. system have been employed to develop the power delivery and handling of the motorcycle. The MACH 2 model brought with it features of safety and convenience like traction control, regenerative braking with 10 levels of adjustability, hill-hold assist, and the inclusion of Violette A.I. to enable adaptive system behavior.

In addition to the F77 series, Ultraviolette is also working on establishing its presence in the electric vehicle market with other models. For instance, the Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric is another upcoming electric vehicle, with an 85 kWh battery and a range of 792 km. The company is building a scalable and consistent customer experience through robust sales and service ecosystems to establish itself as a significant player in the electric vehicle industry.
