Experienced the initial foray into Google's Comic-Con Rewards Lab, delighting in four extraordinary events

Google is bringing the Marvel universe to life at the Google Play Rewards Lab during San Diego Comic-Con, with an immersive experience themed around Marvel's "The Fantastic Four: First Steps." But fear not, non-attendees, as Google is offering a digital spin on the action, starting July 24, 2025.

For those lucky enough to attend the event, the Rewards Lab offers unique experiences for each member of the Fantastic Four. The journey begins inside the Stretch pod, modeled after Reed Richards, aka Mister Fantastic, where visitors play a game controlling Mister Fantastic's stretched arms to catch Play Store rewards points.

Next up is the Force Field pod, inspired by Sue Storm, aka The Invisible Woman. Here, visitors manipulate a display of cascading lights with their hands. The third pod is the Strength pod, themed after Ben Grimm, aka The Thing. In this pod, visitors can team up to clobber the digital floor display from four different corners of the room. The Fire pod, themed after Johnny Storm, also known as Human Torch, offers a chance for visitors to "flame on" and become the Human Torch by shooting a video of themselves flying in the air.

But what about those who can't make it to San Diego Comic-Con? Google is offering rewards to everyone, regardless of attendance. Non-attendees can access Google's Four Days of Fantastic Rewards online through g.co/play/ComicCon. They can unlock exclusive digital rewards by leveling up their board in MONOPOLY GO!, including a limited-edition in-game reward called the Thing Tea Emoji available to U.S. Google Play Points members. This emoji can be used to react to other players during specific events.

The Four Days of Fantastic Rewards campaign runs from July 24 to August 4, 2025. During this time, visitors to the Google Play Rewards Lab at San Diego Comic-Con can also send their videos to themselves or share them with friends or on social media. The exclusive in-game Monopoly Go! reward will be available until August 4 and can be redeemed on the Play Store.

In summary, non-attendees gain access to exclusive online rewards via the website g.co/play/ComicCon, the limited-edition Thing Tea Emoji in MONOPOLY GO! (U.S. only), and the ability to use the emoji for in-game reactions during specific events. Attendees at the event receive additional in-person immersive experiences and priority entry, but the digital perks for non-attendees are focused on the unique in-game content and online unlocks.

This collaboration between Google Play, MONOPOLY GO!, and Marvel's "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" movie promises a thrilling experience for all, whether you're at San Diego Comic-Con or enjoying the action from the comfort of your home.
