Finance platform Maple sees TVL surge to 2-year peak, fueled by Syrup.fi integration.

Syrup Finance, a decentralized finance (DeFi) yield platform, has been making waves in the crypto world by offering high returns to its users. The platform allows anyone to connect a non-custodial wallet and deposit crypto, with the potential to target APY of up to 15%.

Meanwhile, Maple Finance, a platform that enables institutional and accredited investors to lend and borrow crypto, offers several pools for lenders, including High Yield Secured Lending and High Yield Corporate Loan. The two largest pools on Maple are High Yield Secured and Blue Chip Secured, offering APY figures of 17% and 10% respectively.

The connection between Syrup Finance and Maple Finance is through the Syrup Token (SYRUP), which is used as a reward token in Maple's largest USDC-backed pool. As of August 4, 2025, Maple Finance's TVL was approximately $1.94 billion, representing a significant DeFi real-world asset pool.

While Syrup Finance's TVL is not directly reported, its token plays a crucial role in boosting Maple Finance's TVL dynamics. The lending and credit delegation pool in Maple pays part of its yield in SYRUP, creating an incentive mechanism that helps maintain or potentially increase Maple Finance's TVL.

Since its June launch, Syrup Finance's TVL has seen significant growth, reaching $31.75 million. As of August 29, Dune data suggests a record aggregate TVL of over $359 million, with Syrup's TVL at a record $83 million. This growth in TVL on Maple Finance has been driven, in part, by Syrup Finance, according to DefiLlama.

Investors can deposit USDC or Wrapped Ether (WETH) in Maple's pools and aim for an annual percentage yield (APY) of up to 20%. Syrup Finance also provides additional rewards in the form of so-called drips rewards to early users.

Moreover, Syrup Finance's TVL has doubled since the beginning of August, and the platform's daily inflows hit a record $8 million on August 8. Maple reports over 80 institutional users borrowing against its pools. The total value locked (TVL) on Maple Finance was $83 million on August 30, reaching its highest level since the end of 2022.

The yield in Syrup Finance is derived from Maple's provision of overcollateralized loans to institutions. Syrup's points system converts user engagement into rewards, encouraging increased activity on the platform.

In conclusion, Syrup Finance's impact on Maple Finance's TVL is significant, with its reward token SYRUP playing a key role in boosting Maple Finance's lending pool attractiveness and potentially supporting its TVL growth or retention.
