Focuses on Samsung's anticipated advancements in the camera technology of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 smartphone

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has taken the tech world by storm, capturing the attention of consumers in major markets like South Korea and the U.S. With its sleek design and impressive features, the Fold 7 has surpassed expectations, even outperforming its predecessor, the Fold 6, in several key areas.

One of the standout features of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is its camera system. The primary rear camera now uses a 200 MP sensor, identical to the one found in the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and S25 Ultra. This upgrade offers four times more detail and 44% brighter images compared to the Fold 6's main camera. The ultra-wide camera, too, has seen improvements, with autofocus enabling macro photography and improving low-light performance. The pixels are larger, making ultra-wide images 56% brighter than those taken by the Fold 6.

The telephoto lens remains a 10 MP camera with 3x optical zoom, but the Fold 7's zoom photos are slightly sharper. The Fold 7 also offers enhanced low-light photography, with cleaner, brighter images and more shadow detail compared to the Fold 6, particularly when taking night shots. Video capabilities are improved on the Fold 7, including flagship-level video (e.g., ability to shoot log video) and smoother video stabilization during motion, which is absent or inferior on the Fold 6.

The selfie camera on the Fold 7 provides a 25% wider photo and is reportedly five times clearer compared to the Fold 6. The Fold 7's videos take advantage of its 10-bit HDR recording capabilities and LOG video support, which should be helpful for creators like vloggers. The Fold 7's selfie camera also offers improved skin texture, enhanced HDR processing, and AI-powered filters.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7's design is equally impressive. Thanks to Samsung's 3rd generation Armor FlexHinge, the Fold 7 is 27% slimmer and around 43% lighter, making it the thinnest-ever book-style foldable. Samsung Display claims the Fold 7's new foldable technology should last for at least a decade, withstanding 500,000 folds.

The Fold 7 is available for pre-order at various retailers, including Best Buy, Walmart, Samsung, Amazon, Verizon, and AT&T. In the U.S. market, the Fold 7's pre-order rate has crushed the Flip 7, selling 50% faster than ever before. In South Korea, the Fold 7 has surpassed the Fold 6 in pre-orders, accounting for 60% of the pre-order pie. Carriers are reporting an extreme surge in pre-orders for the Fold 7, and people are showing up more in person in stores to purchase it.

With its improved camera system, sleek design, and durable construction, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is poised to be a game-changer in the world of foldable smartphones.

  1. The sleek design, impressive camera system, and durable construction of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 make it a strong contender among the latest gadgets and smartphones, positioning it to revolutionize the world of foldable technology.
