Ford India Accidentally Reveals Upcoming EcoSport SUV
Ford India has unintentionally revealed details of an upcoming SUV, the Ford Fiesta EcoSport, on their official website. The American automaker, based in Dearborn, Michigan, is set to introduce the high-riding version of its compact car in the Indian market soon.
The EcoSport, based on the same platform as the Ford Fiesta, is expected to debut at India's Auto Expo in January 2012. It will compete with vehicles like the Nissan Juke, offering a more rugged and spacious alternative to the standard Fiesta. Ford has hinted at a 1.0-litre Ecoboost 3-cylinder engine for the EcoSport, promising improved emissions and fuel economy. Additionally, a 1.6-litre diesel engine is also expected to be available.
The Ford Fiesta EcoSport SUV was accidentally posted on Ford's India website, giving enthusiasts a sneak peek into the upcoming model. With its expected debut at the Auto Expo in January 2012, the EcoSport is poised to bring a new option to the Indian SUV market, powered by Ford's innovative Ecoboost engine technology.
