Google Photos' New 'Create' Tab Frustrates International Users With Limited AI Features

Google Photos is rolling out its new 'Create' tab globally, but users outside the U.S. are finding limited access to advanced AI features. The app is prompting all users to try features that remain unavailable to many internationally.

The 'Create' tab, introduced to simplify content creation within Google Photos, is causing frustration among international users. While U.S. users may soon enjoy an enhanced Photo to Video feature, others worldwide are left with basic tools like collages and animations.

Google is taking a cautious approach to rolling out advanced AI features internationally. Users outside the U.S. are receiving a limited experience, with AI-powered features like Photo to Video and Remix unavailable. Google Photos' new 'Create' tab, while adding enticing visuals and helpful suggestions, is not yet fully accessible to all users globally. Despite the limitations, users can still access all creative tools via the '+' icon at the top right of the app.

Google Photos' global rollout of the 'Create' tab is ongoing, but international users are currently experiencing a scaled-back version of its features. Google is yet to specify which countries have access to the AI-powered 'Create' functions, leaving many users eager for more information.
