Google Rolls Out New Initiatives to Support Businesses and Nonprofits

Google is rolling out a series of new initiatives to support businesses and nonprofits. The tech giant is launching a weekly video series, enhancing local shopping experiences, and expanding tools for small businesses.

Starting with a focus on business recovery, Google will host virtual product roundtables and launch 'The Update on Think with Google', a new weekly video series. Additionally, Google is introducing Grow My Store to U.S. retailers, helping them bolster their online presence swiftly.

The Shopping tab is being updated to display local store information, such as product availability and fulfillment options like delivery and curbside pickup. Meanwhile, Google is introducing Local Opportunity Finder to assist local businesses in improving their Business Profile.

In other news, Google is increasing its annual Ad Grants commitment to $1 billion to support nonprofits, including those involved in COVID-19 response and recovery in developing economies. The company is also launching International Small Business Week from June 22-27, offering tips, trainings, and products to celebrate and support small businesses.

To enhance local service bookings, Google is launching a new mobile site for the U.S. and Canada and making it easier to book local services directly in Google Search through Local Services Ads.
