GWM Unveils Tank 500 Hi4-T PHEV: Luxury Off-Road Flagship with Up to 120km EV Range
GWM has unveiled the Tank 500 Hi4-T PHEV, offering more details and pricing for this luxury off-road flagship. The five-seater model, priced at $79,990, combines performance and sustainability with a pure EV range of up to 120km and a combined range of up to 950km.
The Tank 500 Hi4-T shares its powertrain with the Cannon Alpha PHEV ute. It features a 180kW/380Nm 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder petrol engine, a 37.1kWh ternary lithium battery, and a 120kW electric motor. Together, they produce a combined total power output of 300kW and 750Nm. This setup allows the vehicle to sprint to 100km/h in just 6.9 seconds and tow up to 3000kg.
GWM developed the hybrid drive of the Tank 500 Hi4-T in-house. The Chinese automaker is committed to developing innovative, eco-friendly powertrains. The Tank 500 Hi4-T, based on GWM's hybrid technology, offers a pure EV range of up to 120km and fuel efficiency of 2.1l/100km when fully charged, or 8.4l/100km in hybrid mode.
