Helicopter Mission Cools Bamberg Clinic's Growing Tech Needs
A major operation took place at Bamberg Clinic on Thursday, October 1, 2025. A cargo helicopter successfully transported materials to the roof of the clinic, supplementing its cooling systems.
The operation required precise planning and execution, with seven flights of the helicopter needed to transport all the parts. The largest cargo helicopter approved in Germany, the Eurocopter AS-332 Super Puma, was used for the task. Due to the weight of the individual parts and the site conditions, a crane could not be used.
The action was carried out under strict safety precautions. The area over which the helicopter flew was generously cordoned off to ensure the safety of patients, guests, and staff. The operation was coordinated by Oliver Bingart, head of the electrical department of the Bau and Technik at Bamberg Clinic. The new installations on the roof will contribute to cooling the steadily growing technical areas of the maximum care hospital.
The successful transportation of materials to the roof of Bamberg Clinic demonstrates the hospital's commitment to ensuring the safety and comfort of its patients and staff. The new cooling systems will help the hospital meet the demands of its growing technical areas.
