This picture is clicked outside the city. At the bottom, we see the road. Beside that, we see the footpath. In the middle of the picture, we see the buildings. We even see the doors and windows. On the building, we see some text written as "The old stillage". On the left side, we see the glass door and a wall in red color. We see a board in purple color with some text written on it. At the top, we see the sky.

HeritageXplore: Connecting People to Privately Owned Historical Sites

Our platform podcast, now available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Audible, has recently featured Violet Manners, a unique bridge between heritage and the digital world. Manners, who grew up in Belvoir Castle, has an innovative idea called HeritageXplore, which aims to make privately owned country homes, castles, and gardens accessible to the public. Her own podcast, Hidden Heritage, complements this mission.

HeritageXplore, accessible at heritagexplore.com, is Manners' vision to connect people with privately owned historical sites. The platform aims to allow visitors to look at, understand, and visit these estates, bridging the gap between heritage and the digital space. Manners discussed this idea in an episode of the our platform podcast, hosted by James Fisher, the Digital Commissioning Editor. The podcast has previously featured notable figures such as Lord Norman Foster and Sonia Solicari, Director of the Museum of the Home.

While no specific company has pursued this idea, regional initiatives like those in Bavaria offer insights. Attractions like Burg Zwernitz and the Felsengarten Sanspareil are open to the public free of charge, thanks to regional tourism and heritage management, not private companies.

HeritageXplore, as discussed on the our platform podcast, presents an exciting opportunity to connect people with privately owned historical sites. While no private company has yet pursued this idea, successful regional initiatives show its potential. Manners' passion and expertise, evident in her podcast Hidden Heritage, make her the perfect person to lead this innovative venture in digital marketing.
