Historic Swan Hotel Reopens After £12M Refurbishment
The historic Swan Hotel in Streatley, Berkshire, is set to reopen this summer after a £12 million refurbishment. The project, completed by Interiors UK, has transformed the grade II listed buildings, offering a unique blend of old and new.
The refurbishment, spanning four years, has enhanced the site's complex buildings, ranging from the 1600s to the late 20th century. John Stefanidis Studio carried out the interior design, ensuring each of the 47 guest rooms is distinct, with natural finishes and unique features.
The hotel now boasts unobstructed views and river approaches, thanks to a new pontoon for boating customers. Flood control measures, including a demountable system and waterproof concrete walls, have been implemented to protect against flooding.
The Swan Hotel will unveil the latest Coppa Club, a waterside-themed space open all day for various activities. It features two small function rooms and a main function room that can host weddings for up to 120 people or be subdivided for different configurations.
Interiors UK successfully delivered the Swan project on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, maintaining a safe working environment throughout. The reopening of The Swan Hotel in Streatley promises a unique riverside experience for guests, combining history with modern comforts.
