Honda's 2025 Prologue boasts extended range and enhanced power, without any increase in cost.

The 2025 Honda Prologue is set to make a significant mark in the electric SUV market, boasting impressive upgrades over its 2024 counterpart. This all-electric vehicle from Honda Canada is now available, starting at an MSRP of approximately CAD 48,850.

Standard features on the base EX trim include heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless smartphone charging, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, and updated safety tech such as automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control.

In terms of improvements, the 2025 Prologue offers increased power, extended range, and enhanced charging capabilities. The front electric motor delivers 220 hp for front-wheel drive, and with dual motors in all-wheel drive versions, total output rises to 300 hp and 355 lb-ft of torque—a significant boost from the previous year.

The EPA-estimated range increases to up to 308 miles for FWD (about 473 km in Canada), and AWD models now achieve up to 294 miles (around 455 km), extended from 2024 figures. The Touring AWD trim achieves 294 miles, while the Elite with larger 21-inch wheels gets about 283 miles, still a 10-mile boost over last year.

The 2025 Prologue supports DC fast charging at up to 155 kW (or about 150 kW in Canadian specs), adding around 100 km (62 miles) of range in about 10 minutes. It also introduces convenient Plug & Charge functionality and includes a standard adapter for access to over 22,000 Tesla Supercharger stations via the new NACS-CCS port compatibility, significantly expanding fast-charging infrastructure.

Honda aims to provide access to around 100,000 DC fast chargers across North America by 2030, thanks to partnerships with Tesla and the new IONNA charging network. The Prologue also comes with a portable charging kit featuring both Level 1 (120V) and Level 2 (240V) adapters for home use.

The AWD option is available for CAD 3,000 extra on EX and Touring trims and standard on the Elite trim. These upgrades combined enhance acceleration, driving confidence, and usability, making the 2025 model more competitive in the electric SUV market while retaining the spacious interior and tech-forward features Honda offers.

Incorporating technology advancements and catering to an electric-lifestyle, the 2025 Honda Prologue features enhanced charging capabilities with DC fast charging at up to 155 kW (150 kW in Canadian specs), promoting convenient Plug & Charge functionality. The AWD option, available for an additional CAD 3,000, complements the improved performance, offering increased power and torque, making this all-electric vehicle more competitive amidst electric-cars in the market.
