Honour your Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles passion with this extraordinarily wild collection of games!
The world of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has once again invaded the Nintendo Switch with the release of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown". This turn-based strategy and beat-'em-up game, launched on August 14, 2025, offers a fresh take on the classic Turtles saga.
In "Tactical Takedown", players engage in turn-based, grid-based arenas inspired by the 1980s cartoon. The game features campaigns focused on each of the four Turtles (Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo) with 20 evolving levels. The storyline is set after the deaths of both Splinter and Shredder, exploring the Turtles' approach to adulthood and their growing apart.
Customizable movesets allow players to tailor each Turtle’s playstyle, while a graphic novel-inspired visual style with figurines and diorama setpieces adds to the game's immersive atmosphere. A new “Remix Mode” included at launch adds new enemies, items, and increased difficulty, providing a challenging experience for players.
Originally launched on PC Steam in May 2025, "Tactical Takedown" made its way to the Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S in August 2025 for around $20. Gameplay videos confirm smooth performance on the Nintendo Switch 2 as well.
For those who prefer the classic beat-'em-up style, there's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge", a game where players can battle through a story mode. In another popular title, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants", players can chase down Shredder and fight against the Foot Clan.
More than 13 classic TMNT games are available for play on the Nintendo Switch, including "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants", which is inspired by the classic Turtles in Time. This game allows local co-op play, and players can unleash Turtle Power by picking up special collectables to summon mutant support.
Some games, such as "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate", offer the possibility of local and online player support. In "Splintered Fate", the Turtles must rescue their father Splinter from Shredder, battling against the Foot Clan and an even greater threat.
It's important to note that additional accessories may be required for multiplayer mode in some games (sold separately). A Nintendo Switch Online membership and Nintendo Account are required for online features in certain games.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, who have been in existence for 40 years, continue to captivate audiences with their ninja skills and combat against Shredder and the Foot Clan. Whether you prefer the strategic approach of "Tactical Takedown" or the classic beat-'em-up style, there's a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game on the Nintendo Switch that's sure to satisfy your inner ninja.
